Nammo Defense Systems, Inc Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) in Perry, Florida
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic will provide skilled commercial mechanical aptitude,
awareness, and abilities to perform duties associated with facility maintenance and industrial
production support with minimal supervision. Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for production
support. This will include but not limited to repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems,
equipment HMI navigation, proximity sensor knowledge, and troubleshooting automated equipment.
Maintenance mechanic will also support the PM program and assume PM tasks on different programs
and equipment throughout the plant. Maintenance mechanic will also assist in facilities and
maintenance projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.) Assist in mechanical demolition, construction, fabrication, repairs, assembly or manufacturing
equipment, systems, and facilities. This will include but not limited to; pneumatic, hydraulic and
electrical systems.
2.) Troubleshoot and isolate root cause failures of electrical machinery and systems.
3.) Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance services.
4.) Enter and keep track of work orders and assigned PM tasks in maintenance CMMS system.
5.) Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
1.High School diploma or GED
2.Good interpersonal skills
3.Good communication skills, both oral and written
4.Demonstrated dedicated to safety procedures
5.Good mechanical aptitude, knowledge, skills and abilities to include pneumatic hydraulic and
electrical systems, HMI interaction, proximity sensors ect.
Ability to use a computer for basic tasks to include but not limited to send emails, enter data
into maintenance CMMS system ect.
Ability to follow projects through to completion
Ability to read and follow instructions carefully
Must have the ability to perform a wide variety of duties with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in team environment
Experience with general mechanical equipment and tools PON
12.Must be able to drive a car, truck or golf cart
13.Must be able to travel off site for training
14.Good organizational skills
15.Have working aptitude of mechanical and electrical concepts, practices, troubleshooting skills,
to make repairs on industrialized equipment and facilities
16.Must have predictable onsite attendance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1.Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which
includes random testing
2.Must have good vision (may be corrected)
3.Must have no known hearing loss
4.Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
5.Must be able to endure sunshine and weather extremes
6.Must be able to endure fumes that are within OSHA accepted standards
7.Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed; including nights
and weekends
8.Mustbe able to climb ladders, steps and/or onto step stools and endure high places
9.Must be able to perform all motions necessary to dig ditches
10.Must be able to reach overhead or outward
11.Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs.
12.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (<85 dBA), however in some
instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary
