Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is hiring a Services Operations Manager for Condition Monitoring . Our customers, dealers, and Caterpillar demand growth in services and increased customer value. Machine condition monitoring is a critical enabler for this growth. This position will provide leadership to the Fleet Monitoring Center (FMC), enabling worldwide growth of services through the management of the commercial, implementation, and daily operation of Condition Monitoring (CM) services, resulting in demonstrated customer value, increased dealer parts sales, and the generation of Caterpillar services revenues.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

This position will report to the Global Condition Monitoring Manager within Construction Industries Services Development, and will:

  • Supervise a team of implementation managers and CM advisors.

  • Work closely with global corporate account managers, dealers, and product/industry groups.

  • Manage all elements of customer reporting and management, invoicing processes, contract management, advisor coverage, and the evaluation of new services.

  • Influence the development of CM systems/tools and align with other global business partners.

  • Implement and track process improvements that grow CM Services Globally.

What You Have

  • Progressively responsible experience in account management, product support, lifecycle management or aftermarket marketing/operations .

  • Customer focus with knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Strong and effective communication skills – both written and verbal – that range from operational and technical discussions to executive level presentations. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department and company to take action.

  • Superior relationship building skills and the ability to execute through a team of Caterpillar, Dealer, and Customer personnel

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Experience in Condition Monitoring, customer account management or equipment life cycle planning.

  • Previous experience working directly with dealers and customers, preferably as a field rep or technician.

  • Experience with telematics and machine data processes.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills along with the ability to direct multi-functional activities.

  • Global exposure to dealers and customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing/sales or engineering.

Work Details

  • Work Location: Peoria, IL

  • Domestic relocation is available to Peoria, IL

  • Travel up to 25% may be required at times, domestic and international
