OPERATION GENERALIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to support multiple job functions and departments
Marking
Bagging
Kitting
BIQ
ILC
Line Auditor
Break Bulk
Shipping
Customer Service
Building Maintenance
Coach production teams, providing leadership, instruction, training and motivation where needed.
Instruct, train and enforce the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Ensure that all employees know, understand and follow all necessary safety rules and safe operating procedures. This includes ensuring that employees are aware of and understand the precautions for hazardous materials as they relate to their job assignments.
Ensure all employees are receiving appropriate training and guidance to help them become fully qualified and continuously improve.
Maintain records as needed.
Work overtime as needed to meet customer demand.
Work with site leadership to correct and implement changes to processes.
Other duties as required or assigned.
DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation Generalists are responsible for supporting the business as needed each department and to work as a contributing member of a working team. This included but is not limited to:
Checking areas before starting to make sure the correct materials are at hand.
Actively work in the department assigned, including running stations, auditing parts, adjust process if necessary to improve quality. Seek help if not able to correct problem. Strive for zero defects. Proactive with quality issue resolution.
Ability to perform any and all jobs in the Value Stream.
Track and record any measurable as directed by site leadership
Ability to learn and use MSS system.
Strive to continuously improve team productivity.
Other duties as required or assigned.
TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain LEAN/FIFO/5S Systems
Maintain maximum up-time of resources.
Actively participate in Team meetings to analyze issues and recommend solutions.
Participate in HPT
Be flexible enough to move to different jobs throughout the day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires standing and walking for the majority of the day.
This position must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
Excellent eye-hand coordination.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A solid work history required.
Effective communication skills and the ability to read and understand work instructions.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
At least High School Diploma or GED
