Caterpillar’s Rail Division is looking for a Finance Transformation Strategy & Execution Manager to provide strategic consulting and support in the execution of the Global Finance strategy workstreams within Rail. This role will provide strategic and influential leadership to multiple workstreams and team members, setting objectives and deliverables aligned with the strategic vision and coordinating teams’ efforts to deliver on objectives. By partnering with Rail and Caterpillar finance team, as well as key Workstream Leads, the role will ensure synergies across the Rail Finance strategy workstreams are maximized. It will also ensure collaboration and interconnectivity across workstreams and alignment on objectives, while providing thought leadership and driving teams to deliver the future state Operating Model and deeper strategic insights to drive profitable growth.
What you will do:
Participate in strategy, development and execution related to the Rail’s Global Financial Transformation with specific focus on project management and governance
Drive collaboration with Rail and Caterpillar business partners to execute standard tools, data strategy and building the foundation for business partnering and insights
Ensure a strong control environment though data oversite and governance
Provide business guidance to the Rail Division CFOs, Group CFO and Senior Leadership Team.
What you will have:
10+ years of financial experience, driving change in complex organizations
Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Visioning: Understanding of the value of articulating an intended business outcome and ability to create and communicates a vision of the organization that motivates others to superior performance.
Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.
Consulting Process & Tools: Knowledge of consulting process; ability to engage in planning sales, conducting research and analysis, finding solutions and preparing recommendations.
Additional Details:
The primary location for this position is Albertville, AL; open to considering Peoria, IL or Irving, TX
This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
This position may require 25% travel

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
