Summary About the Position: This position is with the Operations Division of the US Army Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Office (JCO) located in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities Coordinate force management documentation of the organizational structure. Develop informed recommendations and provide cogent advice to ensure revised policy and procedures are incorporated prior to publication. Coordinate solutions for the supporting units performing multifunctional activities (operations, training, mission support, etc). Provide authoritative advice in situations where guidelines and procedures do not exist. Conduct mission analysis to determine suitability. Coordinate staff actions and taskers directly related to submitted requirements. Establish priorities in coordination with leadership. Interpret policy changes to increase program effectiveness. Discuss potential problems and possible solutions with subordinates. Direct preparation or review of requirements analysis. Specialized Experience GS 14: One year of specialized experience which includes synchronizing operations for a dynamic and complex organization; providing critical assessment of effectiveness and efficiencies of operations and requirements; evaluating studies to determine if changes in concepts or shifts of emphasis in requirements are needed; explain and justify decisions, recommendations, and resource requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Specialized Experience GS 13: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of a technical program; conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating program; preparing project papers and staff reports; delivering briefings to managers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Decision Making Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13/12 respecitvely). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
