Summary About the Position: Serve as senior ammunition program analyst and general technical consultant on matters related to Army precision, missile and rocket requirements, prioritization and readiness assessments, reporting directly to the Division Chief. The precision, missile, and rocket portfolio is currently valued at $29.46 billion. This position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Responsibilities Analyze, develop and manage Army precision, missile and rocket requirements, priorities and management processes. Serve as senior ammunition program analyst and general technical consultant on matters related to Army precision, missile and rocket requirements, prioritization and readiness assessments. Provide requirements and priorities for use in programming and budgeting, logistics support, and readiness/risk assessments. Participate in classified Army, Joint and DoD planning and synchronization meetings associated with the management of sensitive Army precision, missile and rocket systems. Represent the organization on all matters related to precision, missile, and rocket munitions requirements, priorities, and readiness. Analyze requirements, resources, trends, and priorities in order continuously improve the management of Army precision, missile and rocket ammunitions. Develop and implement processes to ensure accurate requirements and effective, efficient management of Army munitions. GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Interface with various command on precision munitions, missile, and rocket requirements; analyzing munitions management and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; and present data on munitions requirements to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Problem Solving Written Communication GS-13 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. Position is considered essential to support DA's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. Position is considered emergency essential because (1) no qualified and immediate replacement exists and (2) leaving position vacant would (a) impair the effective operations of essential military support systems, or(b)adversely impact the combat mission of deployed forces. This is a testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program). Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
