Danaher Corporation Facilities Manager in Pensacola, Florida

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee the overall Facility conditions and efficiency of our manufacturing campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility management (the critical manufacturing related equipment might not be included), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This includes renovations, repairs and maintenance, and overall state of the facility. It also includes contractor/vendor management once a significant part of the repairs might be performed by an outside contractor. The candidate is responsible for overall cleaning and conditions of the campus.

This position is part of the Maintenance department located in Pensacola, FL and will be Onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you'll do

  • Manage improvement projects, renovations, predial repairs, landscaping, cleaning, pest and environmental monitoring and control, and upgrades to enhance overall facility and building conditions (Overall campus: Office space, R&D labs, Parking lot, etc)

  • Budget Management and Cost Control: Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize spending without compromising safety or quality standards.

  • Work collaborative with the Maintenance team and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and inspections to ensure the facility operates at peak efficiency and complies with regulatory requirements while responding promptly to equipment failures or emergencies to diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and restore equipment functionality with urgency.

  • Facility Maintenance and Operations: Partner with the Maintenance team to develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the facility systems, which may include HVAC, utilities, electrical, and plumbing.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility operations, reduce energy consumption, and improve sustainability practices through lean principles including 5S, inventory management for spare parts, etc.

    Who you are:

  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a healthcare or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and control systems and equipment either acquired by an Associates’ degree or 4-5 years of related industry experience.

  • Excellent organization skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and techniques.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of PLC, logical controls and associated programming software

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting programmable frequency drives (VFD) and their relationship to the process

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
