THE POSITION

Are you eager to take the next step in your career? The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Instructor to join our team. This position focuses on providing instruction to students enrolled in the Welding Technology Program, and other students at the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In addition to providing instruction to students enrolled in the Welding Technology Program, you will have the opportunity to develop objectives and lesson plans, select instructional materials, deliver both classroom and lab instruction, and demonstrate concepts and principles. This position provides for different student learning styles, determines/reports grades and attendance, and provides for student safety. Additional duties include organizing and managing the training area, using staffing to review progress toward student goals, and conducting HGAC tours.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of practical work experience in subject area taught.
