THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Security Officer 1 is tasked with ensuring a secure environment within the Test Barn while upholding the chain of custody protocols for the biological samples collected and processed on-site. This role primarily involves the ongoing monitoring of individuals and activities within the Test Barn and its vicinity throughout operational hours, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the facility and its operations. Security Officers will be working alongside horses, jockeys, and around dirt, dust, and hay. Most work will be performed outdoors in all types of weather.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work schedule is Monday - Tuesday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday - Friday 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

  • This position is vendor controlled, meaning race dates and times are subject to change.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
