THE POSITION

The Selinsgrove Center is seeking full-time Residential Services Aides to join their dynamic team. Located just outside the Borough of Selinsgrove, situated near the iconic Susquehanna River, this location provides a beautiful backdrop for both work and play. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Our Residential Services Aides are responsible for delivering treatment and training services in the areas of self-care, socialization, and health maintenance. These treatments and services are specified in each Individual Habilitation Plan/Individual Support Plan (IHP/ISP).
Some key duties of the position include assisting with the development of each individual's IHP/ISP by completing designated portions of the self-care assessment, assisting in the implementation of each individual's IHP/ISP by conducting specified training plans, and assisting with monitoring and reviewing each individual's IHP/ISP by recording and reporting required information. In addition, you have an opportunity to assist in conducting a program of environmental enhancement, providing opportunities for the individuals served, and interacting with unit and facility staff to maintain effective unit operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch.
Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
