THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Department of Health's Division of Maternal Health Services is seeking a dedicated Public Health Program Associate 2 to join our dynamic team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. As a Public Health Program Associate 2, you will play a crucial role in improving maternal health outcomes and identifying potential issues in the health care system. Your responsibilities will include generating reports; entering data from medical records; and collaborating with various health care facilities, government agencies, and providers to ensure accurate and timely information is collected for the Maternal Mortality Review Program. You will also assist in the selection of committee members and help develop the program's direction, ultimately contributing to the overall goal of reducing maternal mortality rates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are flexible between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30- or 60 minute lunch.
Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to work 1 day a month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Public Health Program Associate 1 (commonwealth title);or
A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement (https://www.employment.pa.gov/Additional%20Info/Pages/default.aspx) is currentlywaivedfor this title.
