THE POSITION

Are you interested in performing a variety of planning, analysis, policy, and program evaluation assignments in support of veterans? The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Bureau of Veterans Homes is seeking a Program Analyst 3 to perform business support for the department's software solutions. You will analyze and evaluate data to make recommendations regarding various programs and process improvements for the Bureau of Veterans Homes. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will focus on the business-oriented system administrator role for the department's software solutions, including the Electronic Health Record System. Along with these duties, you will conduct research studies, analyze various data points, and provide recommendations and solutions for program improvements. You will also analyze current programming procedures that augment efficient and effective operations in our skilled nursing facilities. In addition, you will lead and collaborate with project and support teams in case studies of vendor products. You will have an opportunity to perform a variety of planning, analysis, policy and program evaluation, and data analytics assignments in support of veterans homes.

In this role, you will report to the project manager, Division of Business Operations, Office of the Executive Director for Long-Term Care. An ideal candidate for this position will have a wide range of experience in data analytics and experience working with software solutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Program Analyst 2; or

  • Three years of analytical experience, two of which include professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:

  • You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.

  • You must maintain an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) card once it is issued.
