THE POSITION

The Employment Banking and Revenue (EBR) Information Technology (IT) Delivery Center is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Information Technology Generalist 2 to join our Solutions Management/Cross Application Integration Division. Achieve your goals through advanced information technology work and collaboration with our team!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as an administrator for the department’s standard Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool, the Team Foundation Server (TFS), and assist the lead administrator with release management functionality, problem resolution tracking, and other support of this product to ensure it meets the department’s project and business needs. Work involves understanding software development methodologies, understanding business processes, and recognizing potential impacts of those processes. This includes collaboration with all IT application project teams and business partners, from participating in research efforts and the development of EBR Delivery Center guidelines, policies, and standards for these processes through the planning, building, and deployment of internal and public facing enhancements. You will also assist with covering the TFS resource account, and ensure quality customer service while solving routine, day-to-day problems raised by the user community. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. After hours work is needed occasionally.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, reporting to the office as required. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1;or

  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services;or

  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field;or

  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field;or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
