The Global Product Safety Manager will lead the safety strategy for JBT's products worldwide, with a specific focus on Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). You will ensure that all AGV products meet the highest safety standards and comply with local and global regulatory requirements. You will have a strong background in product safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The Opportunity ... Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement global product safety strategies and policies. Lead teams to find and address safety risks. Collaborate with R&D, design engineering, field engineering, and quality assurance teams to integrate safety into product development. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international and local safety regulations and standards for AGVs. Monitor and interpret global safety regulations and translate them into relevant requirements for product development and manufacturing. Partner with regulatory bodies and represent JBT in safety-related discussions and negotiations. Design Specification Oversight: Oversee the design specifications of AGVs to ensure compliance with local regulations. Work with engineering teams to approve design changes from a safety perspective. Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for all products. Develop risk mitigation plans and oversee their implementation. Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Safety Ticket Management: Manage the responses to safety tickets involving AGVs. Ensure resolution of safety-related issues reported by customers or our teams. Training & Education: Develop and deliver training programs on product safety for employees and team members. Promote a culture of safety within the organization through education and communication. Team Management: Manage a team of experienced engineers focused on product safety. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations for team members. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of safety assessments, compliance documentation, and incident reports. Present safety performance reports to senior management. Travel up to 50% domestic and international Why work at JBT ... Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in product safety management in the manufacturing or technology sectors. Experience managing global safety programs and compliance projects. Experience with AGVs or similar automated systems Skills: Knowledge of international and local safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL, OSHA). Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools. Certifications: Professional certifications in safety management The estimated salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 dollars annually Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
