Overview ... Support Software Lifecycle within Automated Systems by supporting Software development processes. The Opportunity ... Responsibilities: Product Release Management: Complete product releases, ensuring reliable deployment of software updates. Collaborate with development and QA teams to plan and implement release schedules. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Improve and enhance CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market. VM Infrastructure: Manage virtualized infrastructure, including VM provisioning, configuration, and maintenance. Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure VM environments meet performance and scalability requirements. Standard Product Configuration Management: Implement and maintain standard configurations for products, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments. Work closely with development teams to automate and refine configuration management processes. Jira Management: Administer and customize Jira to support agile development workflows and project management. Train and support teams in the use of Jira for issue tracking, sprint reporting. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on product release and configuration management. Background in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation. Proficiency in managing VM infrastructure and virtualization technologies. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform). Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with Jira administration and configuration. Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks. Preferred Skills: Certification in relevant DevOps tools or platforms. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN). Mature our cloud strategy, helping engineering teams migrate products and tooling to the cloud. Promote the benefits of DevOps, establish processes and best practices for product release management, and seek opportunities to automate manual tasks. Why work at JBT ...
