THE POSITION

The Department of Agriculture is seeking a candidate for a Clerical Assistant 2 position to provide administrative support to the show management office at the one-of-a-kind Pennsylvania Farm Show & Expo Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform a wide variety of clerical responsibilities all contributing to the successful function of the PA Farm Show, Show Management office. Your duties include producing correspondence such as letters and reports, assisting in bulk mailings, preparing invoices, data entry and organization of various filing systems, and responding to public inquiries regarding the PA Complex and event schedule.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title);or

  • Graduation from high school;or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
