THE POSITION

Are you interested in helping older adults throughout Beaver County? We are on the lookout for an Aging Case Aide 1 to perform a variety administrative support and care management activities to assist consumers. This position gives you the opportunity to handle data processing, maintain the filing system, and obtain needed information from consumers and caregivers. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Aging Case Aide 1, you will focus on assisting with services provided to consumers and caregivers through Beaver County Office on Aging programs. Work includes scanning and attaching relevant paperwork to consumer files; assigning new referrals to Care Managers as directed, updating referral log, and caseload list; and documenting incoming financial verification in the state database. You will have the opportunity to accompany Care Managers on home visits as well as prepare and send letters to physicians for approval of medical equipment and supplies, assistive devices, and home modifications. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking incoming service deliveries

  • Contacting private pay workers involved in CSP and consumer reimbursement to verify work

  • Preparing reports summarizing monthly activity

  • Providing phone coverage for the unit and the agency

  • Consulting with supervisor to discuss problem cases and any concerns as they arise

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of public contact work, which involved obtaining or providing information;or

  • Any equivalent of experience and training.
