Aventure Staffing Estimator in Pender, Nebraska
Estimator | $55k-$80k DOE
An established construction company in the Pender, NE area is searching for an experienced Estimator to join their growing team! This Estimator will work both independently and, on a team, to ensure each project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner that meets the unique needs of each customer.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure company profitability goals are met
Lead estimating efforts on projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process
Coordinate efforts with Chief Operations Officer and Superintendents to manage resources to meet project schedule
Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and valuate project feasibility; work with Chief Operations Officer to develop bid schedule
Coordinate with Chief Operations Officer, Superintendent and project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, company management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base
Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance
Manage and submit shop drawings and job communication
Requirements:
Fully versed in review of specs/plans, take-offs, determining scope of work, and communicating the same
Comprehension of Purchase Order and Subcontract Agreement language with ability to negotiate terms with vendors is a plus
Must have familiarity with computers and most general software, preferably scheduling and estimating software
Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practices
