Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Pella, Iowa. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems. They will also be responsible for system integration, verification planning and execution, and advanced troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems

• Proficiently apply system engineering methods and modeling, and mentor the broader team

• Perform data-based decision analysis using structured methods (decision, Pugh, and trade space analysis)

• Lead system integration and verification planning and execution

• Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis, employing FMEA, 8D's, and Sigma tools

• Accomplish tasks with model-based system design and agile software development

• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, SYSML, Jira, and Dassault 3D Experience for system design and development

• Apply in-depth knowledge of J1939 multiplexed communication and diagnostic protocols

• Understand and apply industry best practices and standards on system engineering

• Communicate effectively, adjusting the depth of technical details based on the needs of the audience Requirements • Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally occupying a Systems Engineer role or similar for a minimum of 5 years.

• Proven expertise in control system design and distributed control systems.

• Proficiency in electrical design and control software.

• Demonstrated experience with mechanical components and mechanical design.

• Familiarity with 3D modeling and system integration.

• Knowledge of Sigma Tools and MATLAB.

• Ability to perform diagnostic procedures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
