The 2nd Shift Lead Test Engineer (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks including jet engine test definition, approach, critical path analysis, data review, and test results review on schedule and within budget.

  • Make technical decisions by applying specialized knowledge / skills.

  • Recommend technical approach, required resources, and schedule interfaces with other Engineering Departments, Centers of Excellence, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Suppliers, as required.

  • Interface with customer organizations and airworthiness authorities (i.e. FAA, EASA, CAAC, etc...) to assure certification engine test and data requirements are met.

  • Prepare and issue certification conformity documents as required.

  • Leverage prior work and test templates where appropriate.

  • Communicate status and problems to project leaders and management in a clear manner

  • Document resulted concisely and participate in program reviews.

  • Provide training and direction to technicians and entry level engineers.

  • Work full time on 2nd shift.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering role relevant to test, evaluation, systems, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, design, or project management. ) + Minimum of 3 years of (in an engineering role relevant to test, evaluation, systems, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, design, or project management.) experience ​
