We are inviting applications for the role of a Full Charge Bookkeeper based in Peabody, Massachusetts. The selected candidate will be a part of our team in the heating and plumbing industry, handling a variety of accounting duties, including general ledger maintenance, job costing, and monthly financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure its accuracy

• Prepare entries for Job Cost on a regular basis

• Conduct Weekly Payroll Reconciliation for Job Costing

• Submit Weekly Workers Comp Payroll reports

• Complete Monthly and Year End Closing procedures

• Carry out Monthly Bank Reconciliations

• Coordinate Payroll Tax Issues with Third Party Payroll Service

• Prepare and File Monthly Sales Tax and G/L Account Reconciliations

• Generate Monthly Financial Statements

• Manage WIP Reporting and complete Annual Insurance/Financial Audits

• Maintain Accounting Software for Accurate Job Costing (workers comp rates, unemployment rates, etc.)

• Prepare and File 1099-MISC forms

• Prepare Work in Process Reports

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Billing Functions, Sage 100, WIP - Work In Progress.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Sage 100

• Experience with WIP - Work In Progress
