About the role

  • Our Group Engineering and Construction (GEC) LAM team, composed of 9 people, is integrated into the GEC department and focuses on Automation and Instrumentation projects in collaboration with worldwide GEC.

  • As a Senior Project Engineer , you will be responsible for the conceptual definitions and technical management of industrial engineering projects, within the specialty of automation and instrumentation until the start-up of the facilities.

  • You will be accountable for:

  • Structure and elaborate Master Plans of Automation and Instrumentation and implement them in phases

  • Analyze, specify and/or define the appropriate technology for control systems (DCS, Logic Solvers, field instrument) through the development of technical and economic studies (estimates and cost-benefit analysis at all phases of the projects) and manage technically internal resources and external engineering teams, from basic to project execution, aiming at the need for quality, cost and deadline.

  • Responsible, within GEC LATAM, for the analysis and verification of SIL of the safety loops (identified in Hazop's) of the projects of new industrial plants, extensions, improvements and safety.

  • Develop technologies through missions and/or exchanges with Solvay worldwide experts

  • Evaluate and homologate new suppliers

  • Participates in courses, seminars and national and/or international congresses

  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering (emphasis on Automation)

  • 5 to 7 years of work experience in the area

  • Knowledge and proven experience in instrumentation and automation project management, cost management and work schedule preparation

  • Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge in Instrumented Security Systems (SIS) –-> preferably with any certification (TUV, Exida, etc)

  • Knowledge of Risk and Safety Assessment Techniques (Hazop, Risk Analysis)

  • Advanced English

  • Behaviors:

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Brazil base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$160,800 to R$245,000 (with Periculosidade already included), your salary may be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
