Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding Craft Superintendent (Electrical) 2084 in Pascagoula, Mississippi
This is a job for a Craft Superintendent (Electrical) position with a company located in the Pascagoula, MS area.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the management, through superintendents, general foremen, foremen and other staff, for manufacturing activities and/or auxiliary manufacturing services of their respective production departments. Performs under the general direction of the VP of Production.
TYPICAL FUNCTIONS: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Selects, assigns, evaluates and instructs superintendents, general foremen and foremen. Advises supervisors regarding direction of their employees, within their respective departments. Exercises supervision with respect to production volume, cost and quality of production, meeting contract/production delivery dates. Coordinates auxiliary functions within a plant to support manufacturing operations: material control, tooling engineering, estimating and purchasing. Forecasts labor requirements and recommends equipment and layout changes. Recommends changes in production methods or material handling procedures. Maintains compliance with Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Coordinates with quality control managers to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Considerable knowledge of operations; comprehensive knowledge within areas of responsibility. Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings and plan cost efficient work procedures that meet quality requirements. Ability to build, lead and participate on a team.
DESIRABLE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING Completion of B.S. in Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Technology or related areas and extensive experience in plant operations and supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
