Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Contributes to and may lead small teams in planning and implementation of large programs, and regularly interfaces with senior management.

  • Plays a role in overall functional strategic planning.

  • Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range plans and objectives.

  • Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty and

  • 8+ years of related professional experience

  • Eligibility to obtain Professional Engineering license

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Evaluate technical processes using any of the following approaches: Systems optimization, Model-based systems engineering, Utility Theory (ways of making decisions and understanding decision support tools), Lifecycle assessment, Value engineering, Multidisciplinary optimization (MDO), Probabilistic design

  • Develop Systems Engineering Documents: Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), Functional Description Document (FDD), System Requirements Document (SRD), Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)

  • Knowledge of Verification/validation strategies

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work in teams.

  • Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project.

  • Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.

  • Knowledge of application development tools.

  • Ability to identify systems enhancements and new capabilities, concept demonstrators, capability business cases.

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
