Amergis RN Quality Coordinator in Pasadena, California

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator responsible for analyzing, developing, monitoring and implementing clinical initiatives toachieve healthy outcomes as well as improving patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties and functions tocomply with quality improvement program according to state requirements

  • Supports Quality Assurance Performancework plans and initiatives

  • Schedules and assists with committeeand sub-committee preparation

  • Assists in investigations and resolutionof member quality of care complaints

  • Audits medical records and monitorsperformance measures for health care risk management, sentinel events and trends

  • Oversees and monitors the developmentand implementation of the quality improvement program

  • Applies and teaches techniques forsystem design, re-engineering, quality improvement, outcome measurements and statisticalanalysis

  • Develops and maintains all appropriaterecords and documentation

  • Evaluates and assures on-goingprogress in QI activities

  • Maintains confidentiality of theinternal audit reports

  • Promotes an awareness of theimportance of data validity and security

  • Performs quality assurance checks ofdocumentation workflows and clinical data in the applicable clinical applicationssoftware

  • Participates in planning andcoordination of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to QI needs of thefacility or service

  • Performs other duties asassigned/necessary

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed PracticalNursing license required

  • Certified Professional in HealthcareQuality preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

  • Minimum of two years clinicalexperience preferred

  • One year of experience in a healthcaresetting preferred

  • Knowledgeof quality improvement methodologies used in healthcare

  • Demonstrated critical thinking andproblem solving skills applied on the job

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks andmeet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently withminimal supervision

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may berequired

  • Computerproficiency required
