Kelly Services Utilities Technician- 3rd Shift - Pharma in Parsippany, New Jersey

Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Utilities Technician/Maintenance Technician (3 rd shift) for an excellent direct hire position with an innovative company that holds a Great Places to Work certification in Parsippany, NJ. This position offers a payrate up to $50 per hour (plus 20% shift differential) based on experience, dynamic growth potential and a positive team environment. 3 rd Shift – 11p-7a with a 20% shift differential and double time paid over 45 hours for the week

As the Utilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing both predictive and preventive maintenance on a variety of systems in facilities, core utilities, and GMP clean utilities found in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.

Utilities Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on routine and non-routine activities for all GMP and Non-GMP utility equipment and systems.

  • Perform Corrective Maintenance (CM) on direct impact equipment/systems, including RODI, WFI, boilers, biowaste system, clean steam system, industrial HVAC, and compressed gases and CM on non-impact systems, such as plant steam, house chillers, heating hot water, and cooling towers.

  • Collaborate with vendors or work independently to resolve issues with utility equipment and systems.

  • Execute work orders, documenting work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and equipment logbooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) alarms. Notify stakeholders on alarms and system status, address alarm issues, request support as needed, and ensure consensus with management for repairs.

  • Evaluate potential system impacts per current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when planning and scheduling work.

Utilities Technician Requirements:

  • 2 + years of utilities/facilities maintenance experience in a GMP regulated environment.

  • Must be able to gown for entry into controlled classified areas
