The opportunity

The Manager of Medicaid Compliance and Analytics will manage operations of Medicaid Supplementals, Dispute Resolutions, and Analytics. This role will work directly with government customers (federal and state) to reconciles, research, negotiate, and resolve outstanding disputes. This positions also manages Medicaid Rebate Supplemental agreement review, system setup, approval, and activation process. This role also manages payment approval for Medicaid Supplemental as well as assist as a backup as needed for other Medicaid Rebate payments to ensure deadlines are met by the team. In this role, you will work very closely with the Government Contracting and Account Executive team with Market Access.

This position will also manage a third-party vendor to ensure that they are meeting the dispute resolutions goals and objectives. This role will manage direct reports to train, coach, and prioritize workload. This role will work with management to update work instructions and any process changes according to system or policy updates.

This position also provides key role in managing analytics, supporting of Medicaid forecast and ad hoc analysis and reports. Participate in needed projects, system implementations and other activities that ensure process efficiencies. The Manager of Medicaid Compliance and Analytics reports to Director of Medicaid. This position provides support for all Teva products.

Location:This is a hybrid position (2-3 days/week in office) based in our Parsippany, NJ headquarters.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Manage Supplemental agreement rebate administration. Approve high volume Medicaid Supplemental rebate system setup. Minimize revenue leakage and reduce interest. Manage Supplemental price data, validation, approve supplemental rebate payments to meet Medicaid payment deadlines

  • Research, resolve, and provide guidance to staff in dispute resolution with states. Escalate material unresolved issues to Director.

  • Manage outstanding disputes and provide management updates

  • Manage third-party vendor by meeting regularly, managing dispute assignments, tracking progress, managing and providing requested backup needed to resolve disputes, including historical information, claims level data, and any other supporting documentation needed for dispute resolution.

  • Managing and working directly with states to reconcile and resolve disputes

  • Manage and work with Accounting Revenue to provide dispute report for quarterly close by deadline.

  • Manage dispute report questions directly with Accounting

  • Maintain and establish strong communications on behalf of Teva between vendor and states

  • Collaborate with analyst to communicate state resolutions and ensure disputes are documented.

  • Manage and provide requested analytics, dashboards, and ad hoc request reporting.

  • Work with IT in creating reports and assist in training the team to utilize necessary reporting tools for rebates

  • Manage, delegate, assign duties, coach, consistently meet, communicate with team throughout the year and administer performance review and feedback

  • Additional job requirements include managing Branded Free review for Medicaid sales and disputes and assisting in providing audit documentation by requested deadlines.

Your experience and qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Medicaid Rebate or rebate experience within a pharmaceutical company, state, and/or state agency or as a Medicaid consultant

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of government pricing and impact to rebates; rebate processing functions; manipulation of large data sets, negotiation/conflict resolution; experience with system implementation

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, License, Certifications needed:

  • Have knowledge of the Model N or Revitas/Flex Medicaid system (or other comparable system) and advance Microsoft Excel skills. Familiar with CMS Medicaid rules and state specific issues. Knowledge on Medicaid Validation and 340B covered entities. SAP, Business Intelligence, and Tableau reporting is a plus. Strong ability to multi-task, organize and manipulate large volume of data in various formats.

Company/Industry Related Knowledge:

  • Medicaid, Government Pricing and Rebate Pharmaceutical industry experience/knowledge preferred.
