Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Field Equipment Technician to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in office archive sample inventory, preparing and staging field equipment and assisting with the operation of Langan’s field equipment facility. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team providing key support to multiple teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the office archive sample inventory;

  • Clean, calibrate and maintain the office field equipment;

  • Mobilize and demobilize equipment and supplies from work sites as necessary;

  • Ship equipment and supplies to vendors and/or other Langan office locations;

  • Assist the Field Equipment Manager and staff with unit billing of company-owned equipment;

  • Assist offices services supervisor as needed; and

  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of prior work related experience;

  • 40 hour Hazwoper Certification;

  • IATA Certification for shipping dangerous goods;

  • Ability to inspect equipment and materials, identify defects and troubleshoot;

  • Ability to lift approximately 25-50 pounds;

  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Outlook;

  • Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and

  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
