As the Engineering & Technology Leader for Metem, a GE Vernova Business you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Your impact will help influence the engineering and technology direction for GE Vernova Gas Power value stream. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Develop and mentor a team of technical experts to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Business strategy objectives across three sites (Parsippany, NJ, Allentown, PA and Százhalombatta, HUN).

• Own the strategic projects and technical solutions to deliver on EHS, quality, delivery and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.

• Develop proposals and solutions for technology choices, define methodologies to solve issues, and provide standards for project priorities & selection.

• Liaison with customers to determine future needs and to better define current needs and expectations.

• Manage Metem’s Research & Development (R&D) efforts for ECM and EDM as well as R&D efforts focused on future machining/manufacturing processes.

• Evaluate current and future trends in industry. Analyze competition and threats.

• Manage, safeguard and grow Metem’s intellectual property including patents.

• Responsible for developing quotes to win new work and maximize the customer experience and service. Manage project decks and the CAPEX strategy to support continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics.

• Drive a robust training program for manufacturing processes to support technical growth within the organization.

• Partner with NPI organization to develop, track, and implement new programs.

• Report performance and progress to senior business leadership.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

• At least 7 years of manufacturing experience.

• 5 or more years of experience managing an engineering team.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel between Metem sites (Parsippany, NJ and Allentown, PA) on a frequent basis and to other sites in the Global Supply Chain 3-4 times per year.

• You can demonstrate strong project management skills, a deep technical expertise, and a passion for driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

The salary range for this position is $142,200.00 - $190,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.

T his position is also eligible for 15 % performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
