Garden Savings Federal Credit Union Electronic Services Specialist in Parsippany, New Jersey

Summary:The primary purpose of this position is to enable our members to achieve their financial dreams, as well as provide outstanding service to both Credit Union members and team members. Assist members with their financial transactions, problem resolution, and account maintenance with the utmost care. Essential Functions: 1. Process daily ACH, loan payment, credit and debit card disputes, Chex System requests, wires, and other transactions accurately.2. Assist our members in an efficient and secure manner with all products and services, primarily but not limited to ATM, issuing debit and credit cards, funds transfers, online/mobile banking, online payments, ACH disputes, card alerts, home banking, remote deposits, opening and closing of accounts and CDs. 3. Issue all approved credit card applications, credit limit, and rate changes. 4. Process Inclearing job (errors and pay no pay) and send returns to FIS.5. Process all Meridian Link online and dealer membership applications.6. Ensure telephone calls, voice mails, text messages, and emails are answered in alignment with our “service standards” and “our services promise to our members”.7. Assist Call Center with call overflow.8. Responsible for recognizing and reporting suspicious activity to AVP, of Operations and to the AVP of Compliance.9. Assist in other areas or special projects assigned by Credit Union management. 10. Mentor and train other employees. Skills and Requirements:• High School Diploma or GED equivalent• Ability to assist members in a warm and professional manner. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, bilingual conversationalist preferred. • Team player with a courteous attitude and ability to provide conflict resolutions. • Possesses professional maturity with a pleasant and patient phone etiquette. • Act in accordance with Core Values - Passion, Respect, Ownership, Members First, Integrity and Education.• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, make decisions and solve problems.• Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.• Completes tasks with a sense of urgency to meet all deadlines. • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft (MS Office) environment and all job-related software programs. • A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic is required.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:• Professional office environment with moderate sound.• Flexibility to work during Credit Union hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. certain non-Federal holidays, and Saturdays when required. • Ability to move around the building as well as travel to other branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as needed.• Ability to use office equipment such as computer, telephone, copier, stamp machine, etc.• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. • Vision corrected to within normal limits. • Ability to listen, hear, and understand to assist members by phone.
