The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Planning and Development Director to join our Sourcing team. This will be instrumental in coordinating with Wyndham franchise owners, Wyndham-approved suppliers, and internal business stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of our sourcing activities. This includes demand identification and coordination with all Sourcing towers and programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and an owner first customer service mindset to support WH&R’s strategic vision while helping to drive hotel profitability.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Franchise Operations, Technology, Marketing, Architecture, Design & Construction, Finance, and Sourcing teams, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Focus on driving compliance, enhancing guest satisfaction, and identifying cost-saving opportunities for hotels.

  • Engage with Sourcing tower leads to monitor and analyze hotel engagement with Sourcing Programs, creating strategies to increase purchasing volumes and ensure brand standard compliance.

  • Build Relationships with Hotel Owners: Serve as the primary point of contact between the Sourcing team and franchise owners, maintaining strong relationships to support their needs.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Sourcing team and internal stakeholders, driving awareness of Sourcing programs and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services to hotel owners.

  • Lead early demand identification and support sourcing projects to meet business needs.

  • Provide Industry Insights: Analyze industry trends and competitive data to identify. opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Represent Sourcing Function: Participate in cross-functional meetings, offering input on supplier management and sourcing analytics.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

  • Demonstrated ability to showcase value through data analysis and effective PowerPoint presentations.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with franchise owners and attend relevant meetings or conferences.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a sourcing or procurement role, with a focus on supplier coordination and stakeholder management.

  • Master’s degree in business or Hotel Administration desired
