Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

A typical day in the position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, and working with computer systems efficiently. Safety is the top priority at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory.

  • Handle materials and ensure accurate data entry.

  • Operate saw and other machinery as required.

  • Utilize computer systems for inventory control.

  • Read blueprints and utilize a ruler for measurements.

  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks.

  • Use RF scanners for tracking and inventory management.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Warehouse experience

  • Material handling experience

  • Computer knowledge

  • Math and reading skills

  • Cycle counting experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of warehouse and production experience in a metals facility or manufacturing-related facility

  • Experience with RF scanners, picking, packing, and inventory control

  • Ability to read blueprints and work with construction materials

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiency. The warehouse environment has 150-160 full-time employees (FTEs). The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company. Shifts are as follows: 1st shift: 6am-2pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, 3rd shift: 10pm-6am. Employees are required to work 7 days a week for at least the next 3 months, with one Sunday off per month (every 21 working shifts).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
