We’re looking for a Silicon Product Manager to join our SnapLab team at Snap Inc!
What you'll do:
You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development to help design and develop technologies that improve overall end product experience.
Define architecture, hardware, software requirements and KPIs for custom SOC hardware that brings to life key user experiences and distinguish our devices by delivering end user impact
Work cross-functionally across software and hardware engineering teams, project management, industrial design and external partners to assess and select challenges to overcome through custom silicon, build multi-year roadmaps that intersect our long-term device strategy, and secure executive support for the ML and SOC hardware
Ensure ML and SOC hardware has a clear path to productization, and drive internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for the on-time development and launch of the product
Drive ML, CV Research, Hardware, Software co-design between the Silicon team and various device and software teams across the company
Establish relationships with app partners internally and externally to develop knowledge of capabilities and roadmaps
Collaborate with device level product, legal, and multiple cross-functional teams for product launches enabled with internal AI silicon
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
10-15 years of experience in product management and development at a semiconductor company shipping commercial products
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Hardware and Software Engineering, Product Engineering, Industrial/Product Design, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Support, Partnerships, and Legal
Experience working with developer tools for mobile/edge compute applications targeting processors (e.g., CPU, GPU, DSP, or specialized ML accelerators).
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications (at-least one or more highly desirable):
Experience developing complex IP or SOCs for low power embedded systems that have severe constraints on size, power, and thermals.
Experience with developing silicon IP or SOCs for computer vision, at or in-memory compute, and/or signal processing DSPs in consumer electronics.
Experience with commercializing computer vision products and/or algorithms such as SLAM, Depth, ISP functions for ML needs at both hardware and software level.
Experience with enablement of security functions needed in consumer grade silicon products at both hardware and software level.
