Job Summary:
The Clinical Response Team (CRT) teams play a crucial role in improving client outcomes by ensuring that behavioral health needs are met promptly and effectively across Agency service lines. Staff of the CRT, will be assigned to respond to and work within designated programs of the Agency providing behavioral health clinical treatment services as well as providing treatment to substance use disorder clients. Treating children and adults as well as individuals and groups. The role of the CRT clinician is designed to provide support and fill gaps in clinical therapy where needed.
What You will Do:
Clinical Therapy Services: Delivering direct clinical therapy services either in a face-to-face setting or via telehealth as per the client's preference and program guidelines across various departments as assigned.
Direct Client Care: Provide hands-on care, which may include offering individual or group counseling, or conducting individual therapy sessions.
Diagnosis: Identify and diagnoses psychological conditions based on assessments, test results, and patient interviews.
Individual Therapy:Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems.
Treatment Planning:Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals. Continuously monitor progress and adjust treatment plans and/or services as necessary to respond to changing health needs
Therapeutic Techniques:Utilize various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and others, tailored to the client's specific needs
Crisis Intervention:Provide immediate support and intervention for clients experiencing mental health emergencies. Conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and connect clients to emergency services if necessary.
Advocacy:Advocate for clients' health and well-being within the healthcare system and the community. Ensure client receive the appropriate care and resources. Work to reduce stigma and increase awareness about mental health issues.
ARS/SUD Responsibilities: In addition to the job responsibilities noted above, when providing services for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) clients, the Team Clinician must adhere to SUD DMHAS Initiatives which includes the ability to perform the following:
Screen for SUD which includes administrating NJSAMS Assessment
Document according to ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine)
Monitor urine toxicology
Pre-trial/probation services
What We Need to See:
Master Degree in social work or other behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university.
Must have provisional license to practice social work/ counseling (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC); Clinical and Professional licensure preferred
Documented knowledge of one (1) year minimum experience in behavioral health and SUD settings.
Documented knowledge of one (1) year minimum work experience specific to Crisis Intervention
A valid driver's license and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance
