Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Paramount, California. The role involves managing the company's financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with legal and company regulations. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and balance the general ledger accurately and in a timely manner

• Record financial transactions on a daily basis and complete the posting process

• Verify the accuracy and legality of recorded transactions

• Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary information to external auditors

• Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts

• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll

• Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements

• Complete tax forms and ensure they comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements

• Bring the books to the trial balance stage and perform partial checks of the posting process

• Perform other related duties as may be assigned or required. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and document Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite software

• Proficiency in Oracle software

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required for the job.
