Position Summary
This is a professional position responsible for serving as region’s coordinator for issues relates to the waiver support coordinator Qualified Organizations including ensuring that the QO and waiver support coordinator applications are processed within required timeframes, serving as the liaison with Qualified Organizations on the submission and review of ethical and professional violations and associated corrective action plans as well as serving as the point of contact for questions related to compliance with 65G-14, F.A.C.
The Work You Will Do
Work closely with regional provider enrollment staff to ensure that the applications for Qualified Organizations and for waiver support coordinators working for the QOs are processed within the required timeframes.
Review the submission of ethical and professional violations by Qualified Organizations to ensure that the reporting of ethical and professional violations is complete and includes a response to all of the ethical and professional violations identified. Collaborate with the Region’s Quality Improvement staff for any ethical and professional violations identified by APD and follow up with the QO to make sure that these violations are reported through APD iConnect and are addressed.
Review the submission of Mentoring Completion forms, as submitted by the Qualified Organization. Ensure that all required activities have been recorded on the form and verify completion of the activities by reviewing progress notes and documentation in APD iConnect.
Participate in the monthly status meetings with the State Office Qualified Organization Coordinator to coordinate with regional staff on issues identified during the meetings for resolution.
Participate in the monthly waiver support coordinator meetings and serve as the subject matter expert on questions related to 65G-14, F.A.C. Act as the subject matter expert for waiver support coordinator Level II training.
Monitor the status of Qualified Organizations within the region to ensure the QO is compliant with the requirement to have a minimum of four waiver support coordinators. Maintain tracking of each Qualified Organization and its associated waiver support coordinators.
Conduct follow up activities with clients who rate the waiver support coordinator with less than 3 on elements of the satisfaction survey or request a contact from APD. Document findings in the scorecard datasheet in SharePoint.
Travel and attend meetings, conference calls, training, workshops/workgroups and other miscellaneous activities as needed including participating in the monthly waiver support coordinator meetings and monthly QO status calls within the Region. Works on special projects and other assignments through completion and meeting deadlines performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school Diploma or its equivalent.
Must have valid Driver’s License or other efficient means of transportation to travel for work purpose.
Must have knowledge and at least 1-year professional work experience with Developmental Disabilities or Mental Illness, or the principles and practices of one of the allied health field principles or one of the rehabilitative sciences.
Must have customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

65G-14, F.A.C. and the iBudget Handbook.
Ability to:
Locate, read, understand, and train others about Agency policy/operating procedures and rules.
Travel to surrounding counties in the Northwest Region.
Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, families, providers and staff within and across regions.
Review documents for accuracy. Ability to travel.
Demonstrate Skills in:
Reviewing documents.
Using Microsoft Office programs, other applications and Web based programs to include APD iConnect, and other Agency’s implemented software.

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Background Screening Requirement
