Amazon is seeking a full stack SDE to join our Upper Funnel Search team. This team is responsible for transforming the Amazon search experience across all devices and locales, with a focus on enhancing discovery and inspiration for customers in the early stages of their shopping journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and low-latency search features

• Collaborate with data science teams to implement and optimize LLM-powered recommendation systems

• Create scalable solutions for generating themed product collections

• Develop front-end user experiences and work closely with the Customer Experience (CX) team

• Contribute to the integration of advanced language models in our search capabilities

• Improve conversion rates for broad, upper-funnel queries

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
