A Brief Overview

The Revenue Cycle Academy Director oversees the planning, design, and implementation of training programs aligned to the business objectives and operational strategy of the Revenue Cycle Organization. The Director partners with Revenue Cycle business leaders to identify and achieve strategic training objectives, and stewards the current-to-future state training road map across Revenue Cycle departments. The Director provides industry best practice leadership to support continued Revenue Cycle optimization through education and skill development. This role owns the overall Revenue Cycle Academy training portfolio and is responsible for the continued maintenance and enhancement of training methodologies and practices.

What you will do

  • Leads the Revenue Cycle Academy training program for the enterprise organization

  • Develops training strategies and program enhancements based on evolving Revenue Cycle operational needs

  • Regularly engages with Revenue Cycle leadership to ensure training program business alignment

  • Measures and monitors training impact and effectiveness

  • Promotes training offerings and stewards the Revenue Cycle Academy brand

  • Serves as the department expert on training methodologies and training best practices develops and communicates sound strategic training recommendations based on clear understanding of department objectives

  • Stays current on relevant consumer and industry developments to provide operational insight and lead best practice presentations

  • Actively contributes thought leadership and fresh ideas for growing and evolving department outputs and processes

  • Manages communications for major deliverables (e.g., strategic briefs, creative presentations, communication strategies) for strategic training initiatives

  • Stewards the creative process to ensure all work aligns with strategic goals

  • Fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Implements initiatives and processes to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goals

  • Serve as a resource for other team members, based on a strong working knowledge of team's responsibilities and goals

  • Function as a training consultant and business partner to other departments

  • Monitors various training productivity and performance standards to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods

  • Participates in task forces, strategic initiatives, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units

  • Manages escalated issues and provide direction

  • Facilitate sustainable change across the department

  • Develops leaders for succession

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university

Experience Qualifications

  • Eight years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience Required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of training methodologies and best practices

  • background in business process and technological innovation within clinical and hospital business environments

  • Proven experience leading and managing others through strategy and change process initiatives

  • Experience analyzing stakeholder requirements and anticipating strategic organizational requirements

  • Proven ability to work within a matrixed organization with competing initiatives and objectives

  • Ability to assess and monitor team work load / capacity and shift timing and/or responsibilities appropriately to achieve sustainable pace while continuing to achieve results

  • Effective interpersonal skills and professional conduct

  • Ability to facilitate and leads group discussions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with all employees and upper management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely and efficient manner

  • Ability to develops and disseminates information effectively and appropriately

  • Knowledge of revenue cycle systems (Epic preferred)

  • Familiarity with relevant hospital policies, practices and HIPAA regulations

  • Ability to work independently with strong follow-up skills to ensure effective and efficient completion of tasks

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint or other spreadsheet and/or word processing Software

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $76.90 - $101.91 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
