STANDARD PROCESS INC Maintenance Specialist II - Electrical in PALMYRA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Specialist II - Electrical will be responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment are operational through effective preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of plant PLC\'s and control systems, electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of production equipment and machinery. This role assists in the training and development of the maintenance technicians in these specific areas ensuring production and facility equipment are operational. Repair production and support equipment Diagnose machine errors and how they relate to the electrical and mechanical systems of the machine Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, power supplies and electrical drive units Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of plant production and support equipment Perform preventive maintenance and repair of plant PLCs and electrical systems Modify and improve equipment Maintenance of plant facility and utilities through inspecting and making needed repairs. Working with engineering on capital project implementation Ability to assist trouble shooting by phone or come in outside normal scheduled work hours for critical repairs and/or training. Position will require being available for repairs and PMs requiring plant shutdowns which sometimes occur on weekends and holidays. Typically 1-2 times per year. Preventative and routine maintenance of building, equipment and grounds (snow plowing, salting, etc.) Manage contractors and oversee projects/repairs in area of specialty. Act as the lead on major projects, including providing updates and ensuring deadlines are met Responsible for training other technicians and specialist in area of specialty. Act as point of contact for leads, supervisors, engineering, and contractors in area of specialty. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical degree in Industrial Technology or related field required, related experience considered Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver\'s License required Licensed as an industrial electrician preferred. Experience: 10+ years of experience with 3+ years in specialized field. Experience in mechanical repairs including drives, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics Experience with building management systems (Johnson\'s Controls a plus) Supporting and repairing building utilities Familiar with NFPA 70E requirements Familiar with NEC (National Electric Code) Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repairs Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in CMMS a plus Fabrication experience preferred Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to work independently and train other technicians Knowledge of low and high-pressure hydraulics Knowledge and understanding of pneumatics Proficient Knowledge of mechanical repairs, drives, and motors Highly skilled in navigating industrial PLC\'s preferred. Highly skilled in electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and safety Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems and controls Fabrication experience (i.e. Welding, Milling and turning ect.)
