ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE / DEGREE REQUIRED
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs various functions in support of the CEO, President, EVP, CFO, and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Assist with Accounts Payable, Bank Investment Accounting Program, Asset and Liabilities Management and Profitability software, and assist Senior Vice President and Assistant Corporate Secretary in various duties at the Board level.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with the Bank's Accounts Payable; preparing the invoices for payment; Inputting information from invoices and General Ledger on computer system; Preparing Expense checks; balancing statements; collecting information for and preparing 1099 forms; Request and maintain Certificates of Insurance for vendors, as required; Collect and process information for Sales & Use Tax reporting. Prepare and remit returns and payments semi-annually.
Assist with all required accounting for Bank Investment Securities portfolio; Answering and placing calls to investment brokers on various security transaction; Verification and booking of entries for Purchases and Sales of investments to both General Ledger and computer system; Posting various principal and interest entries; Prepare and print various monthly investment reports; Prepare end of month proving, quarterly reports and annual reports.
Perform various support duties for the CEO, President, executive staff and senior management.
Assist with the Bank's Mortgage Appraisal & Inspection Fees accounts for outside appraisals and completion certificates in conjunction with the Mortgage Department; Prepare and mail checks to appraisers, collecting information and preparing 1099 forms.
Assist with the CD & DDA Public Fund to assure proper pledging of securities for all class Z coded accounts if over $250,000.00.
Provide backup to CFO to include; Daily proving of Federal Reserve account, Profitstar maintenance and ALM reporting, financial statement preparation, call reporting preparation.
Assist with maintenance on prepaid contracts and monthly accrual files.
Prepares, presents and interprets financial reports to management and outside agencies as needed.
Make reports to the Board of Directors on the financial soundness and practices of the bank.
Perform additional duties as required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Experience: Two to four years related experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows including Work, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Jack Henry Bank Operation System, Profitstar ALM/Profitability Software
