ASM Global Director of Finance in Palm Springs, California
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
General
Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll and compliance with State and Federal law, and ASM Global policies and procedures.
Supervises staff in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including: interviewing and hiring; training; planning, assigning and directing work and; performance planning and concerns.
Monitors compliance with all provisions of the management contract.
Develops and maintains effective policies, procedures and standards for all financial responsibilities.
Reviews, negotiates and oversees contracts with vendors, contractors and service providers.
Authorizes the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines.
Investigates, analyzes and resolves problems and concerns.
Financial / Accounting
Develops and implements all financial reporting including: financial statements; annual budgets and; annual reports.
Directs the maintenance of all accounting records including: general ledgers; accounts receivable and payable; deprecation and; insurance.
Oversees and reviews event settlements, deposits, cash receipts and disbursements and purchasing.
Analyzes financial performance including: cash flow; investments and: revenues.
Directs all audits involving accounting and administrative controls.
Ensures appropriate insurance coverage’s are maintained and files and processes claims.
Other
Promotes and fulfills ASM Global goals and brand promise.
Participates in safety programs to achieve safety goals.
Assists the department and organization with various projects and special assignments as needed.
Performs other assigned duties as required.

Education:
B. S. in accounting, finance, business or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent related experience on a year of year basis for the degree.
Experience:
In addition to the above education requirement this position requires 3 year experience in public accounting and/or financial management and 3 year experience in facility management at a supervisory level or as department head.
Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
Effective supervisory skills.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets and word processing software.

Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - 143,000
