Role Overview :

We are seeking individuals with excellent customer resolution skills to be a part of our Otis North America Collections team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role will report into a collection supervisor. This position is ideal for an individual that thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment and is ready to be a trail blazer.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work with collectors, sales reps, customers and other roles to resolve invoice disputes. They will coordinate with billing, cash application, sales and operations with the goal of dispute reduction and participate in the order to cash improvement processes. The candidate for this position is a customer centric individual with a strong ability to drive change and results.

On a typical day you will:

  • Responsible for resolving disputes that are assigned to collectors and prior to reassigning to sales rep or Branch.

  • Lead effort to resolve/close out aging disputes by working with cross functional team of resolvers •

  • Work with customer to resolve dispute including negotiation of invoice for payment.

  • Work with order to cash team to provide recommended process improvements • Monitor and assist resolvers

  • Manage internal and external issues where they occur • Reduce dispute resolution timeframes Lead an initial effort to resolve/close out aging disputes by working with cross functional team of resolvers

What You Will Need to be Successful :

  • Minimum of three-years of collections experience with a proven track record of resolving customer disputes

  • Excellent communication skills required and polished presenter Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar experience, a must

  • Experience with JD Edwards a plus • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in a cross functional collaborative role • Self-starter with strong prioritization skills

  • Analytical, problem solver and well-organized Takes full ownership of responsibilities and identifies areas for improvement, enhancement, and efficiencies

  • Awareness and commitment to deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to present monthly results or ad-hoc project findings to all levels of management
