Description:
Summary:
As a host/cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to guests at the beginning and end of their dining experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Seat guests and present clean menus in a timely manner
Proper completion of cash turn-in sheets and tickets, voids, and over-rings
Maintain register area clean and neat
Assist servers with ringing in and delivering alcoholic beverages
Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting
Ensure tables are properly set to start each shift
Collect and inspect all menus, discarding those that are worn out
Utilize proper procedures and documentation in handling the following: comps, room charges, credit cards, officers checks and coupons
Pick-up bank at cage, count all monies before leaving, and verify with cage personnel
Contact supervisor immediately for any guest concerns or complaints
Extend an invitation to all guests to dine with us again and thanking them for dining with us
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedure, Title 31, and federal regulations if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meet the companies guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience in a same or similar role in a high volume restaurant preferred
Previous cash handling experience
Previous experience working in a team or group environment preferred
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Previous experience with POS systems, computers, and calculators
Must be at least 21 years old
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 15lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist
Regularly standing and walking
Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone
Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person
Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
Occasionally to move throughout the property
Occasionally ability to ascend and descent stairs
