Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Pageland, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager Mechanic to join their growing team!

The main responsibility of a mechanic is to ensure that vehicles, machinery, and light trucks function efficiently by performing a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Using computerized diagnostic equipment or other tools to identify issues

• Using technical manuals, charts, and experience to plan procedures

• Fixing worn parts like brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors

• Changing oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels

• Informing clients about automotive problems and repairs

• Preparing cost and time estimates for repairs

• Keeping vehicle service records up to date

• Fitting new accessories to vehicles

• Keeping a database of spare parts in the repair garage

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Read, write, and speak English

• Forklift experience, preferred

Physical Demands:

• Ability to handle 50 lbs.

• Exposure to dust, vibration, noise, temperature variations and rotating equipment

• Ability to use personal protective equipment is required

• Must be physically able to operate a forklift

Pay rate for this position is $20 an hour with a chance to become permanent with client.

Valid driver's license required.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
