Commander, Navy Installations FOOD SERVICE WORKER in Pacific Beach, Washington
Summary This is a seasonal position that performs general food service work at Naval Station Everett - Pacific Beach. Responsibilities Incumbent sets up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold foods including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing. Makes coffee, tea, ice water, and other beverages. Cleans equipment in kitchen and dining area. Clears and cleans dining tables, sweeps, mops and waxes floors Moves heavy garbage cans, and assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Must be 18 years old and able to lift up to 45 pounds Incumbent must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility. Constantly standing or walking; frequently lifting or moving objects from 30 to 50 pounds. Qualifications Must be able to multi-task and use good judgment Must have the ability to concentrate on uniform individual portions and to take multiple orders upon customer's requests. Knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food. Education Additional Information Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within 30 days of employment is required. Certification for front desk operations and other requirement outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide obtained within established time frame. This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours.
