Bank OZK Loan Insurance Specialist in Ozark, Arkansas

Job Purpose & Scope

Loan Insurance Specialist performs a variety of administrative duties along with daily back office loan functions. This includes assisting insurance vendor, providing support to the Bank’s lending staff with insurance matters, and performing flood reviews in a professional and accurate manner according to policy and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides accurate and timely audit, processing and payment preparation of monthly invoicing from service providers and Bank’s Insurance serving vendor.

  • Posts insurance premiums, refunds and waived interest.

  • Determines customer’s new payment to collect lender placed insurance premium.

  • Sends correspondence to customer concerning revised payment.

  • Facilitates communication between Bank’s lending staff and insurance vendor.

  • Responds to requests from Bank’s lenders and support staff.

  • Generates accurate and timely weekly reports that will be provided to insurance vendor.

  • Generates the monthly report and remits the monthly premiums to DGU Insurance.

  • Generates the monthly report and remits the monthly VSI premiums to Insurance vendor.

  • Perform timely and accurate flood review on loans.

  • Tracks insurance for RESG loans, which will include working with Asset Managers and/or Insurance Consultants.

  • Handles customer calls and research items for problem resolution.

  • Produces accurate, thorough and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.

  • Maintains good punctual attendance at work.

  • Adheres to all Bank policy, practice and procedure .

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Skill in using computer programs and/or desktop applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in using computer programs and/or desktop applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
