Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit industry. The role will be based in Oxnard, California, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to accounts, payroll, and software utilization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle payroll duties ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Take charge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, processing invoices, payments, and collections.

• Regularly perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.

• Efficiently utilize Workforce Now and Sage Intacct software.

• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and maintaining the General Ledger

• Skilled in preparing Journal Entries and conducting Month End Close

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience within the non-profit sector is advantageous

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
