Production Scheduler
Create a daily production schedule to drive on-time delivery. Utilize the schedule to deliver high quality orders in a safe manner. Work to align all operations teams on order processing and delivery. Provide guidance to operations areas on resource sharing and time allocation for on-time delivery.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Ensure that the highest safety levels are maintained and that safety comes first when working to achieve business goals.
Developing a Master Production Schedule that ensures that the business is making the most efficient use of resources in attaining the schedule, i.e. minimizing overtime, aligning with push/pull/maintenance schedules and optimizing throughput.
Provide “what-if” analysis to support potential increases/decreases in volumes, identifying an agreed upon solution that considers all stakeholders’ perspectives.
Create priorities inherent in the master production schedule that supports on-time customer delivery and allows for the attainment of the businesses broader financial goals.
Be the facilitator/leader in establishing the plants Operational capabilities.
Develop, maintain and drive KPIs around the master production schedule such as schedule attainment, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and capacity utilization.
Maintain capacity tables, scheduling parameters, and scheduling logic by working with Business Strategy Analysts.
Analyze and support purchasing via MPS/MRP alignment.
Communicate with and be involved with other supply chain and commercial functions as necessary, i.e. Demand Supply Alignment, Order Forecast Alignment
Supports implementation and improvement of QMS systems deliver the quality products that meet/exceed stakeholder and customer quality expectations
Exhibits understand of internal procedures/protocols and support compliance with legal requirements applicable to assigned area activities
Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Bayer’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards
Executes intermediate activities in Bayer systems (SAP and electronic networks), commonly used in production processes
Support areas across the plant in driving the adoption of continuous improvement practices and programs (5S, Lean, Six Sigma) conducive to an organized and clean work environment.
Utilize OnePSS techniques to initiate process and standard work improvements
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required:
Minimum of Associates degree agricultural, engineering and/or technical environment
Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word
Experience with spreadsheets and analysis
Team oriented and works well cross functionally; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Continuous engagement and presence on manufacturing floor
Preferred:
Ability to speak Spanish
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years experience or Associates plus 8 years experience in a manufacturing,
Experience working in SAP
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between$58,836 to $88,254. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
