Description We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Oxnard, California. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, data forms, and sketches to prepare accurate cost estimates for complex manufacturing projects in the aerospace industry. This role will entail working closely with various departments to ensure detailed design clarification and efficient decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret requirements based on engineering drawings, data forms, and sketches to prepare accurate cost estimates for complex manufacturing projects

• Work closely with Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Purchasing departments

• Generate bills of material, internal quote requests, and manufacturing engineering forms

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing methods and material costs

• Document and present cost estimates for management review

• Utilize software and tools effectively to generate accurate cost estimates

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient decision-making processes

• Maintain a solid understanding of manufacturing methods, material costs, and estimating techniques

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions

• Ability to perform Cost Analysis

• Experience with Annual Standard Cost

• Proficient in Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
