POSITION SUMMARY:######## # Assist Materials Management Coordinator with GHS procurement functions. Assist supply coordinators with GHS supply chain functions. Assist Materials Management Director with value analysis applicable to inventory and non-inventory purchases. Proactively identify opportunities for product standardization and negotiate contract opportunities to leverage the buying power of associated GPOs and locally negotiated contracts to lower the cost of procurement of goods and services. Ensure that contracts meet all federal, state, and local regulations and customer needs. Ability to perform multiple tasks independently. Team player. # DUTIES:# # Understand and assist with all supply chain functions at GHS. The primary duty is to assist the Materials Management Coordinator with GHS procurement functions. Purchasing hospital supplies, both inventory and non-inventory requisitions, promptly and in the appropriate quantities. Navigate GPO contracts landscape and negotiate with suppliers when GPO contracts are not applicable; execute purchasing processes accurately; create, submit, and follow up on Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage contracts with suppliers to ensure supply compliance; analyze supply change requests to existing contracts and approve changes or revisions. Manage supplier performance and make recommendations to the MM Director to improve supplier performance. Facilitate the resolution of disputes with suppliers to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Coordinate the integration of new suppliers into the GHS procurement system. Process information on the GHS Information System as required in performing job responsibilities. Work invoice discrepancies and serve as a liaison with A/P. Responsible for compiling and working on the daily Back-Order report and following up with the appropriate individuals. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of personnel in this position. # MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:#### # Minimum of high school diploma. #One to two years of prior experience in a purchasing environment. #Familiarity with PC usage, including Microsoft Office Suite products, such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. General knowledge of accounting principles as applicable to purchasing. # PREFERRED: # College level courses in business and/or accounting. #Prior experience in a healthcare purchasing environment. #Knowledge of Meditech systems.#
